Chakra Healing Stones

The Premise of chakras is simply the idea that there are 7 hubs or hotspot on our body. Spots that are responsible for particular energy and emotions that make up our energetic physic as a whole. Crystals and stones are well attributed for their energetic properties. So using them for their healing qualities to attune and balance the energies of our chakras only makes sense.

Root Chakra is the most primal energy hotspot on our body. This Chakra reperesents our instincts and survivalist nature. This Chakra is about being grounded and feeling safe. I use Red Jasper to balance my root chakra. Red Jasper induces confidence, strength, and life force. This stone gives you the courage to speak up and be heard. To focus on your own independence and life force energy.

The Sacral Chakra is the chakra that is associated with the energy of creativity, sexuality, arousal and pleasure. It is the sexual hub out of all the chakras. I use Carnelian to balance my Sacral Chakra. Carnelian ushers in a very vibrant energy, an energy of stepping out of the norm, being bold and powerful. This stone inspires ambition and drive. An all around action stone.

The Solar Plexus Chakra is the chakra that deals with your self, your ego. What your beliefs are and is the center of your will power & self esteem. I use Yellow Calcite to clear out old, toxic and self limiting energy. This stone is excellent for irradiating self doubt, and giving one more self confidence.

The Heart Chakra is all about how you love. Your compassion and warmth for others. If your having problems in being open and accepting of love or how you are warm towards other, this is the chakra you want to focus on clearing and balancing. I love the stone Prehnite for this Chakra. This stone is enhances spiritual connection and deepens the relationship that you have for yourself. For it is essential to love oneself properly before you can embark on relationships with others.

The Throat Chakra is about your truth, and how you properly & effectively communicate with others. This chakra is like the voice in which all the other chakras may be expressed. I love using the blue quartz to balance this Chakra out. For it’s a beautiful stone to enhance communication & bring peaceful & diplomatic expression. Quartz in general are excellent for clearing & protection.

The Third Eye Chakra is your chakra of inner conscious. This Chakra energy is about your intuition & psychic abilities. Your spiritual eye Chakra. I use Sodalite with this Chakra. Sodalite is a stone that opens one up & enhances spiritual messages/awakenings. This stone is about balancing between logic and intuitive thoughts.

The Crown Chakra is your connection with the divine. This Chakra will be your area of enlightenment and how you connect with the universe. Amethyst is my go to to heal and balance my crown chakra. Amethyst is the ultimate psychic protection stone. This purple gem heals, balances, & heights energy of love & psychic awareness.

These are my favorite stones to use for chakra healing but there are many other wonderful options in the world of healing crystals and stones. Namaste.

Dream State

Prophetic dreams have always been apart off my life. Since as far back as I can remember, I would always have dreams that would seem bizarre or unusual at the time, but then after a couple of days (or in some cases 24 hours). Events would unfold and ultimately make perfect sense. Many claim to even have been visited by love ones in their dream states as well. For the majority of us though our dreams are an extreme source of being able to understand our psyche & subconscious. It’s like going to a shrink (picking your own brain apart) but for free!

The number one thing I tell people, who ask me questions about dreams are to firstly, try to recollect your emotions that you experienced from the dream. That typically seems to serve as the “theme” of the dream and the overall message. Secondly we pick out symbols that stood out in the dream. For example, I have lately been dreaming so much of traveling, being in a foreign-yet familiar city in my dream, stair cases, being up high (so high that it frightens me). You look up the symbols (typically google works just fine-or any dream dictionary) Such as Travel= movement in life/journey in life, Stairs= good omen/moving forward, high up= rise in status/ or consciousness ect. Then lastly you consider any people you may have encountered in your dream ( whether they be known or not) such as a mysterious tall man you might be attached to in the particular dream.

This is my own personal formula I do to picking apart my dreams & not only discovering potential occurrences in my future but discovering more of myself in the here and now. My own fears and success so to speak. Please let me know of any interesting dreams or dream related questions you may have. Namaste!

Venus Retrograde + New Moon 10/8/18

Venus goes retrograde October 5th in Scorpio. I myself have my natal Venus in the 8th house, the astrological house ruled by Scorpio. Let me tell you that when it comes to anything Venus related and Scorpio, get ready for a unworldly emotional subconscious dive into the deep dark ocean of the unknown.

It is mysterious, intriguing and ambiguous. Yet believe me when I tell you nothing will rock your core and transform you quite like an Scorpio aspect/transit will. Scorpio is some serious business, known to be the emotional water sign that represents everything dark and extremely sensual. It is a sign to me right up there with Pisces & Cancer that represents the most intuitionaly inclined energy of all the astrological signs. However though where Pisces is the dreamy/spiritual type & Cancer is the nurturing/emotionally intuitive type, Scorpio is the shadowy/underworld type.

So Venus going retrograde in this sign, for pretty much the entire month of October (going Direct 11/16/18) will bring some seriously fated aspects to your love life. First and foremost anyone with even the slightest knowledge of astrology will tell you the #1 rule of Venus retrograde is you do not undergo any extreme beauty regiments like liposuction, Botox, a drastically new hairdo….Hell, I’d even leave those eyebrows alone if I were you…just sayin. Just don’t do it… trust me on this one & with this particular Venus retrograde with a square mars aspect, just wait.

I would also highly be on the look out for ex lovers or opportunities of forbidden affairs to arise. Be extremely careful with the kind of energy you adhere to because as previously stated, the things that occur in this time are very fated and will stick with you for a lifetime. I’m also a big advocate of steering away from proposals of marriage during this time. Those who typically become or announce engagements during a Venus retrograde will have big time problems….. if the relationship even lasts until they get to the altar….. to be frank.

Then we will have our New Moon in Libra 10/8/18, with some awfully caring and empathetic energy enveloping us. So this would be a lovely time to set some sincere and sensitive intentions towards your family matters. Beware though of the intense Pluto square aspect to this new moon. This will add drama due to Pluto, the planet ruled by Scorpio (that deep, dramatic energy yet again). So handle your affairs with a gentle and loving energy. I wish all of you the happiest of Octobers! Namaste!

Apple Butter

Apple Butter

  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

  • 2 Pound Bag of Gala Apples- cored, peeled, and roughly chopped
  • 2 T of organic apple cider vineager
  • 1/2 C of water
  • 1/2 organic sugar
  • 1/2 organic light brown sugar
  • 1 T of cinnamon
  • 1/2 T of nutmeg
  • fresh squeezed juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 T of good vanilla extract

Most people prefer to cook their apple butters in the slow cooker, and this is indeed a lovely way to cook up the yummy fall delight, that is Apple Butter. Zero arguments from me there, however I prefer to whip mine up in my trusty dutch oven pot & it cuts the cooking time down dramatically. Add your peeled/cored/chopped up apples into the pot and add your water, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice. Get that combination cooking on Medium heat and to a low simmer. Then give it a good stir (your going to want to keep checking and giving it numerous good stirs in the course of the couple of hours you are cooking it). Then add your sugars, spices, and vanilla- give another stir & place the top of the pot on, reduce your heat to low and let cook for about 2 1/2 hours. Like I previously mentioned continue to check on and stir sporadically through out this time. After that, I take the top of the pot off, turn off the stove top & let cool down for about 30 min. Then I add the mixture to my blender & puree the mixture until it is complete in all its trademark velvety smooth deliciousness. This recipe makes about 1 large mason jars worth of apple butter, but you could easily double up the recipe & freeze some to last you through the entire season. Enjoy!

Burning it down

My most recent MOPS meeting had a residual theme of burning it down. I know… I know… that seems a tad extreme, but when you fully grasp the concept of what it means you will applaud it just as I did. The concept of burning it down pertains to burning down whatever it is that is holding you back… or keeping you in hiding from living your authentic passion or fire. For me (like so many others) this would include burning down my insecurities. Those pesky and desperate feelings of that one is never enough or doing enough.

The time has come to burn down those insecurities, or feelings of doubt, or maybe even the feeling that you need to impress people? How are these toxic feelings even truly serving you?

Fire gives way to life as much as destruction. We were not built to be creatures of fear but yet creatures of faith. In that faith is where we will find our fire. In those times to where we collectively feel like why were we picked for this task…. or that we are just not good enough for the task. It is vital to remember that there is no such thing as coincidence in this world & God choose every one of us for a particular reason & season. So burn it down….burn down the insecurities, the false opinions, the negative energy convincing you that you are somehow not enough. Burn those feelings down to give birth to the you that lives authentically & soars.
