Springtime Garden Crystals

Spring has sprung! and it is glorious. Bees are buzzing…trees and flowers are budding and its just the most heavenly slice of weather one could ask for.

This is the time right here that was created especially for gardners and all you gardener wannabes (that would be me) out there. I have never been a stellar gardner myself…. Despite all my best efforts its always proved a bit difficult for me. Of course as was the case last year the one time I was pretty successful… the rabbits found ways to raid my little garden much to my dismay. I have resorted to just pretty flower pots on the balcony this year. I might pull out a small veggie garden this year but that as yet to be determined.

Anyways I stumbled on the idea of adding crystals to your garden for their energetic properties and just had to share the top four that I personally loved.

Quartz- supposed to be great for cell growth in your plants, the stone to use when setting intentions. So visualizing and setting your intention as you place some quartz around your garden will help.

Moonstone- a stone of fertility and health. This stone promotes strength & is known as a symbol of “new beginnings”. Soothes stressful environments and promotes success and good fortune.

Citrine- This stone is all about success and abundance, which is a win for any garden. The stone that simulates the properties of the sun itself lends warmth, and cleansing vitality to your garden

Moss agate- known quite literally as the gardeners stone. This stone lends grounding to the earth properties. A stone that promotes balance & vitality in your garden.

I also love how these little gemstones make the most beautiful garden decorations. Like like jewels spread amongst your garden. Let me know if any of you out there have had any luck with using gemstones in your gardens, and if so which ones where your favorite?

Honoring Yourself- My Morning Meditation and Yoga Routine

Good Morning! I wanted to piece together a post that was a basic overview of my individual morning yoga & meditation routine. All I did was piece together my favorite energizing and focusing based energy poses, that takes no more than about 10 min in the morning to complete. For as mommas & busy ladies in general we all know how hectic our lives can get. It is utterly imperative to set time aside to clear and center yourself for the day ahead.

So firstly I start off in this pose and take about a couple of minutes to be still & meditate of my energy being cleared, balanced, productive, patient and protected. I try to always make sure to smile during this process because I believe it is a lovely way to set your day with energy that is positive and grateful.

From my meditation I then move on to do some cat/cow poses and make sure to truly pay attention to my slow and steadfast breathing. This is my modified version of childs pose. This is also really great for opening my hip flexors .

Then I go into my camel pose.
From there I transition into my downward facing dog position

After about three good in & out solid breaths I extended one leg behind me and hold for another couple of breaths. Then I sort of arch my foot to the other side and hold the pose again for a couple of smooth breaths.

Next I bring my foot up into my runner lunge position.

After my arm extension stretching, I immediately go into my warrior pose for a couple of nice deep breaths.

From the above pose I then would go back into downward dog and do the entire series of poses again but while using the other leg. Then I make my way back to downward facing down for the final time and then slowly walk forward to mountain pose but while hanging down in rag doll pose.

I typically always finish by slowly rising up into the pose below. I then typically down a glass of lemon water & grab my coffee. There is no set rhyme or reason to it and it’s something I dedicate to for at least 10 minutes in the morning. More is better if you can, but if your a super busy gal like me… I find 10 minutes is more than enough time to realign & to set some amazing intentions for the day. It gives me energy, focus, and all around great vibes to unfold my day to! Namaste!


Partial Solar Eclipse in Capricorn.

Happy 2019! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. We not only have our new moon in Capricorn tomorrow, but it’s an uber powerful one because it’s also a partial solar eclipse occuring. A Solar eclipse much like a new moon is where the moon passes between the earth & sun. The new moon typically represents the fresh start of intentions for the month. With the partial solar eclipse involved it will be more along the lines of setting your intentions for the next six months.

This is a strong aspect of astrological energy, especially with Sun Conjunct the moon. All things are possible. This is a time to really ponder on what it is that you want to achieve in the coming year. Focus on what old habits are holding you back and thus need to be shed. Clean and organize your living space to go into this eclipse with a clear and light mind.

Make sure to write your intentions and what you wish to accomplish and grow from with in the new year. The absolute perfect time to set those New Years resolutions!

Telepathy and Astral Travel

Has anyone ever experienced a loved one who was hundreds of miles away and yet you seemed to interpret one another thoughts, emotions, sometimes even memories as if they were right next to you? Or you had this thought pop into your head and come to find out at that exact moment that is what the other person was thinking/transmuting?Sometimes you feel that person there with you, even physically it seems? Especially in the evening or morning right before you drift off or wake from slumber.No matter what you do you just can’t get that person out of your thoughts. Well this is a case of a telepathic connection, plain and simple. However, there isn’t anything really simple about it at all. It is a very real probability that that other person can’t stop thinking about you as well.

Telepathy is the supposed communication of thoughts and ideas by means other than the known sources. Our universe is so fast & there is so much that can not be explained. One thing that is a certainty is that everything in this boundless universe is made up entirely of energy. There are those times where the connection between two people simply defies any sense of logic & you are not only connected in your souls and in your heart but by the power of your mind as well. A telepathic connection.

Astral Projection or astral travel as the term I prefer is a term used in esotericism to describe a willful out-of-body experience that assumes the existence of a soul or consciousness called an “astral body” that is separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it throughout the universe.

This action happens more frequently during lucid dreaming but can equally be harnessed just as effectively during meditation to reach those you love or those you wish to impart an important message too. I mention the concept of astral travel as well for I find that most that seem to harness this phenomenon of telepathy with others seem to astral travel to their loved ones as well. Mainly through dreams, as if you have just taken a trip in your mind to be with the other person.

Gratitude


This Past Thursday American celebrated Thanksgiving. Now Thanksgiving isn’t exactly my favorite holiday, that honor would go to Halloween & Christmas. I do however love how Thanksgiving brings friends and family together. We are brought together, and we enjoy favorite recipes that have been passed down for generations & we celebrate the art of Gratitude. 

The formal definition of gratitude is the quality of being thankful. Readiness to show appreciation for and in return kindness. 

Gratitude to me is keeping myself in that positive mindset as much as I possibly can. We are all human & its impossible to be happy & upbeat all of the time. However when I am low & then force myself to focus on what I’m truly thankful for, It always seems to lift my spirits, confidence, and overall will to succeed. Looking at all I am grateful for reminds me that what I do & who I am is indeed important.

I actually started a gratitude challenge about a month out before Thanksgiving that I heard about from my MOPS group. You text one person every day for 14 days 3 things your grateful for. The whole idea is that practicing and forcing yourself to focus on what you are grateful for will essentially shift your perception. Your problems may dissipate or seem less monumental. That is the power of gratitude to alter how you see things so that you may focus on all the abundance you already have been blessed with. 

Venus Direct & Mercury goes Retrograde.

Well it was a doozy of a day for me. I woke up pretty optimistic actually, got my yoga in & actually all together & out the door at a decent time. However I could not shake this nagging feeling that there was indeed a holiday performance at my daughters school… The kind where you dress your children up in their holiday fineware & you yourself get all gussied up to go watch them belt out the adorable holiday songs they have been practicing for months. I checked the school calendar- nothing. I checked my email for reminder emails-again nothing. I asked my daughter if she could remember if there was a program today at school- of course she said “no way!” So poor naive mom sent her girl off in a freakin paw patrol dress to school. Thank God my intuition just wouldn’t stop nagging and I asked the teachers at drop off about the situation & sure enough if the program wasn’t happening in less than an hour. So there I sat in the chapel with everyone dressed up to the nines & me in yoga pants… Yes yoga pants & a hoodie. Nice try MaryJean… but honestly your pearls have nothing on my finest athleisurewear….. That in a nut shell is Mercury going retrograde. The unexpected & uncomfortable around every corner, but then again as much as me and my children looked like a couple of misfits up in that chapel. I will never forget my baby girl scanning the audience for us & then when she found us, that huge smile of pride from seeing her momma and sissy there waving like some crazy lunatics…. That part was totally Venus going direct.

Venus went direct this morning in Libra but opposing Uranus. So sudden and earth shaking events pertaining to your love life occurring will be more likey. This doesn’t have to always be related to your romantic love life though. Love is in many forms, like me feeling the love from my baby girls pride in her holiday performance. Or you might suddenly find out your pregnant or that a beloved friend is moving back into the state for example. Venus going direct opposing Uranus can indicate sudden and jolting events in any matter relating to love and relationships in your heart.

Then of course the dreaded Mercury retrograde… Which is truly nothing to fear at all. If you get used to avoiding signing contracts and making huge decisions/ buying electronics during this period, you will grow to see that this period is really more of a Netflix & chill / reflective period of time in your life. Especially leading up to the holidays, take time to slow down think about all you have evolved and overcome in this emotional rollercoaster of a year. Truly enjoy the season and time with your loved ones. For we will be officially out of Mercury retrograde & the shadow period right in time for Christmas. Namaste!

What Yoga Means to Me

Yoga is currently an extremely popular exercise fad. Yoga for me, and many others however means so much more than some trendy exercise activity to look cool. In fact, in full disclosure, I rarely look half as glamorous as the talented insta yogi’s. The thing is, that Yoga is not meant to be something you do to make you appear better than others. It’s not about being more “hip” and “sophisticated” than others, and it certainly should be seen as so much more than a trendy fad.

Yoga is about promoting and nurturing not only physical heath  but mental health most importantly. As previously stated I rarely look cool doing my yoga but I still practice it almost daily. That’s with small children dripping off of me even lol. That is what embracing the realities of life is all about however. There will always be interruptions throughout the day and life. For me though, if I can focus just a little time in my morning to truly concentrate and focus on a little bit of structure, strength and balance in my practice I feel it spill over into adding structure, strength and balance into my overall day and ultimately my life.

I simply do it  bc it sets me in a better state of mind. It eases my anxiety without me having to take medicine, it energizes me, gives me more patience which in turn makes me a better mother. It is a moment I can be fully emerged in myself & my connection to the universe.
